Couples Night

This past labor day weekend:
Casey & I went out to Kat's house for couples night
Kat is a good friend of mine at school
During the day us girls studied and read books in the sun;
while the men were at work.
Sunday night we went to Applebees for Happy Hour
Then came back to her place for some drinks, pool, to sit in the hot tub,etc.
It was a BLAST!
We may have lost at pool a few times but it did not matter
I also got bit by Kat's birds too many times: they hate me haha.
 Why does she have the creepiest unicorn mask?! Haha.

 I make the prettiest faces
 Killing it at pool!

Overall, it was a fun night!
Good times, good talks, good drinks, and good tans
Perfect.

Elk

The end of August was CRAZY
My parents came out a few times to visit/build their house
My parents are planning on retiring north of Spokane {Spokompton}
Which is very exciting since I plan to live in Spokane!

They bought 20 acres out in Elk a while ago
But now they are finally building their house
It is going to be entirely custom!
Which means a lot of work & a lot of time in Spokane!

On top of picking out floors, cabinets, deciding on an entire floor plan, counter tops, electrical sockets, drilling a well, septic, placement, carpet, tile, granite, etc, etc, etc.... my dad was transferred to Connecticut short notice {as always:)} & on my birthday {as always}!
So on top of building a custom home my dad moved all the way across the country!
My mom is staying in Maple Valley/Spokane to finish the house & sell the other one!!
SO IT HAS BEEN CRAZY!

I will start with the property...

It is beautiful!

 My mom standing on her future porch!

It is so amazing out there!

Next step, drilling the well!

A couple weeks ago my mom came out to watch the well be drilled
9 gallons a minute at about 400 feet!!
PRETTY AWESOME!

My parents are pretty excited!
It is awesome having my mom come visit me every other week :}
But it stinks having my daddy so far away working so hard :[
Bitter sweet.
The three hour time difference is the hardest!

My mom is now back in Maple Valley selling the house & getting some stuff done there
The Elk house should be built in the next 5 months so you will be seeing lots of post on it!
After the house is built my mom will join my daddy in Connecticut!
My dad is living in the city 5 minutes from his work in an apartment!

Overall, August was a heavy month & there is so much more left to do!

PS: I am crazy busy with school.
Brief run down:
I have four lecture style classes from August until Halloween
I have two clinicals from  August until Halloween
The month of November is designated for practicum {unknown placement yet}
Practicum is were I work as a nurse {without pay} without an instructor or anyone
 I am in class, in clinical, studying, tutoring, or out at the property constantly!
Not much free time anymore.
I will try to blog as much as I can but no promises.

Better three hours too soon, than one minute too late.

Summers Adventures

This summer Casey & I really wanted to go to Silverwood
We had never been

So I went on craigslist like any normal person would do to look for cheap tickets
The same day I went online to look for the tickets a guy was selling a "Gold season pass" for 100 bucks!
I looked up what a Gold pass was an it was a season pass for one person
BUT you were able to bring two people for free every time you went!
Plus free parking!
Since it would cost Casey & I about 80 dollars to go once
I thought it was a good idea to get this pass
When I went to buy the pass from the guy
he said he would give me my money back if it did not work
So I was pretty excited!

I got my gold pass & we went a couple of times to the park {quite a few}
Silverwood is a theme park with a water park attached!
I love water rides and lazy rivers
So we did a lot of that
However, the crazy roller coasters are a bit much for me too
But I did well :} (not too sick)

 My season 2013 free refills cup :]

 The waterfalls in the lazy river were very aggressive!

 I also brought my little sister to Silverwood with me
the day before she moved into college!
She had a blast

 We loved going on tremors!
We made crazy mustache faces!
We also got GIANT scoops of icecream for 4 dollars!
It was pretty awesome!

Then the busy part started!
We moved Angela in at WSU!
The last baby Coug!
Beth Coug Teacher
Danielle Coug Nurse
Angela Coug ____?
We will soon find out:}

Perfect song on the radio
Sing along 'cause it's one we know
It's a smile, it's a kiss
It's a sip of wine, it's summertime
Sweet summertime

Happy Happy Birthday

This August I turned 21!
Apparently most of my friends at school thought I was turning 25 or 26
But that is ok :}
I had a great time !
All my friends came out to celebrate with me!
Even my sister came into town!
 So of course we went to Post Street Ale House for fried pickles and drinks!
It was fun to see all my friends and celebrate my oldness haha.

 Beth made me a shot necklace that was extremely heavy but stylish
Haha.
I still have all of the shots still.

 The three girls above are my bestfriends from nursing school!
I do not know what I would do without them!

 Beth made me all sorts of goodies for my birthday
She made me signs to carry around, a necklace, a crown, & a ring pop!
& Whitney/Kat got me another crown, a sash, and a giant pin
I felt pretty special:}
I also won five dollars at Fast Eddies! It was pretty awesome!

It was an early night because we all had school or work in the morning bright & early
But it was still a blast!
I love my friends.
Lucky.
